Gallagher 2018

The years seem to be flying by faster and faster. Here is our obligatory electronic season greeting which also serves as a reflection on the wonderful moments of life that have been given to us. We are thankful in every way for our health and the wonderful time shared with family and friends throughout this past year.

Noah (9) and Erza (6.9) are keeping us laughing, crying and sometimes swearing ;) They are busy with school (3. & 1. Grade) and spend most time outdoors with friends, helping farmers in our area or taking our new family addition (sunny the dog) for walks. They both finished their swimming lessons: Noah is definitely / Erza mostly - swimming.

Anja is continuing her work with choreolab – traveling to Amsterdam in spring. She created a theater and dance piece for the local school called "Troumfrässerli" (dream gobbler) that was a huge success with the kids, teachers and parents. All of her work is now as an independent, which gives her great flexibility in her schedule. She continues her therapeutic work at her shiatsu practice. Are you in need of treatment? Book online at flügel11. Anja started a new children's project called "Gipfelstürmer" (summiteers) this fall which is a collaboration between dance, music and film that will premiere in March. She hopes to tour throughout Switzerland with this production.

I continue to enjoy the diverse work at Edorex AG. One of the many projects included creating a billing system for a local power company that is entering the solar panel sharing economy - right up my alley. I also continue to teach and coach various companies and groups on the agile mindset, that makes for nice breaks in between hacking away at software. One of the biggest highlights for me this year was receiving my paragliding pilot license. I hope to continue to do many exciting "Hike & Fly" adventures for years to come.

We spent a wonderful week of skiing in February. My parents sponsored a trip to the USA where we enjoyed a perfectly hosted Gallagher family reunion at my aunt & uncle's lake house in Rice Lake, WI. We visited many of our dear friends from college and spent a week at a log cabin by the boundary waters - swimming, canoeing and enjoying the great Minnesota outdoors. Our fall vacation took us back to our honeymoon country: Tuscany. It was a little bit of a different experience with the two boys, but nonetheless beautiful with an amazing host family at the farm that we stayed. We wrapped up the year with our traditional christmas celebrations at Anja's parents and my parents' house and are looking forward to spending new year's eve at the chalet up in the mountains.

Hope all is well in your part of the world. Sending you lots of love and good health for 2019!
